BLACK BEAR HUNT INFO
We have 5 guides who run 12 to 15 baits each (so that is 60 to 75 baits), with 90% of them active at all times. We visit the baits every other day. We believe in feeding allot and shooting an average of less then 1 bear per bait per year. Most baits have multiple bears on each bait. We have a very high percentage of colored bears and big bears. We use trail timers with motion sensor comers, but we have trouble with bears chewing them up so we don't use them all of the time. We also set hair traps to get an idea of the number of colored bears coming to the baits. The guide to hunter ratio is 1 to 2. 2 Bear Limit.
We hunt on 3000 sq. miles of crown (public land) and we have the exclusive guiding rights. Our guides are skilled and enthusiastic. We have 12 years of guiding experience and have the reputation for producing some of the best Whitetails and Black Bears in the World. While you are in the stand our guides are out baiting, scouting and moving stands.
Accommodations include electricity, gas, hot and cold running water, flush toilets, satellite TV and home cooked meals. You will stay in our hand-scribed log style lodge. Chris personally built the lodge with years of personal labour.
Our lodge is 2 hours North of Edmonton, Alberta. We take care of all transportation to the lodge and back to Edmonton. We can recommend a travel agent who can get you flights to Edmonton, Alberta. You will spend 2 nights in an Edmonton hotel, one on the way in and one on the way out of Edmonton.
Please e-mail or phone us if you have any more questions. Let us know if you would like a brochure or reference list.
